Our Facilities

The Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church campus is comprised of a number of facilities. We have a PDF map of our church grounds located here.

Lyttleton Street UMC SanctuaryThe Sanctuary
Our historical sanctuary dates back to the 1800s, flanked by a connected chapel.  This beautiful building now seats over 400, has a genuine pipe organ, a large choir loft, lovely stained glass windows, many picture-perfect features and a modern sound system. The sanctuary
remains uniquely connected to the past while providing modern tools for a memorable Sunday morning worship experience. We are currently undergoing construction on our historic Sanctuary.  Please bear with us during this important time of reconstruction and repair.

The Family Life CenterLyttleton Street UMC Family Life Center
Including a gymnasium with a regulation-sized basketball court and scoreboard, a dining hall with a theatrical stage, a well-appointed kitchen suitable for serving very large groups, and many classrooms and meeting rooms around the perimeter, the Family Life Center is ideal for many events. What we call the Fellowship Hall is comprised of the dining area, kitchen and stage, which are enclosed into a single unit for convenience.

Lyttleton Street UMC Lyttleton Street UMCMusic and Education Buildings
The building adjoining the chapel and sanctuary serves as the Lyttleton Street UMC Music building and provides additional facilities for the sanctuary. Lyttleton Street UMC also has a building devoted to education in the form of Sunday School and Lyttleton Street UMC’s childcare facility, Lyttleton Learning Place. The church office, pastor’s office, prayer chapel, and additional offices are also located in this building.

Camp Lystra
Lyttleton Street UMC also owns Camp Lystra, located on gorgeous Lake Wateree. The camp boasts a cabin with beds, screen-enclosed dining area with kitchenette, a boat dock and ramp, and a true Methodist camp-meeting-style outdoor chapel overlooking the scenery of Lake Wateree. Please call the church office for access information and directions on how to get there.
