Music Ministry


Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church has a vibrant music ministry involving over 150 children, youth, and adults! Children’s, youth, and adult music groups participate regularly in worship throughout the year. In addition to providing music for our worship services each week, the Chancel Choir performs major choral-orchestral works from time to time such as Mozart’s Requiem and Rutter’s Magnificat and Requiem.

Each group meets at a specific time during the week, and the schedule may be viewed below.


Wonderful Wednesdays for Children’s Choirs

Our church will provide a multitude of events for elementary children leading up to our Wednesday Nite Live program.  We will pick the children up from school and bring them to the church where they will be instructed in music (choir, chimes & bells); have a fun, hands-on learning ministry time; helped with their homework;  and recreation time which will lead us to the Wednesday Nite Live dinner, program and Wednesday Night Kids.  Please complete the registration form and turn in to Mary.  This program will be for the following choirs:  Cherub Choir (age 4 – Grade 1);  Music for Grades 2-3;  Music for Grades 4-5.

All other choirs are:

  • Middle School Bells (Grades 6-8)  rehearses on Sundays 5:15-6pm
  • High School Bells (Grades 9-12) rehearses on Sundays from 4:30-5:15pm
  • Chancel Bells (adult):  rehearses on Wednesdays from 6:00-6:50pm
  • Chancel Choir (primarily adults, also open to grades 6-12)
    rehearses on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30pm
